She's So Bright - 9 YouTube Videos You Should Be Watching, fun, entertainment, youtubers, personality, videos.
Four YouTubers I like! (From left to right: Lydia Elise Millen, Sanne Vloet, Manny Mua, and my favorite as of late, Sorelle Amore)

This past week I have been somehow sucked into YouTube, so I thought it’d be fun to share a little bit of what kind of things I’m watching. I recognize this is a HUGE variety of topics, but hey, that’s what happens when I end up on the internet! Check out my favorite videos below:

1. What I Eat In a Day as a Model

Not going to lie this clickbait title completely sucked me in! The Victoria Secret model Sanne Vloet is beautiful, svelt (obviously), but has some really easy simple recipes that are both healthy and look delicious. She is so sweet – you can’t help but like her too!

2. High Horse (Official Music Video)

I’ve been really into Kacey Musgraves lately. I’m loving her vintage Pricilla Presley vibes, her sweet country lyrics, and the way her songs leave me feeling so, so happy. This latest music video is fun and gives you a good sense of her personality!

3. Trying Out Kylie Jenner’s Makeup Routine

Beauty routines are always fun to watch (I’ve got a few of ‘em on this list, so you better think they’re fun, or else!). I think it has something to do with the soothing nature of grooming activities and seeing someone transform into a more beautiful version of themselves. Well, I’m loving Manny Mua’s ultra-popular version of Kylie Jenner’s beauty routine that she shared with Vogue (if you haven’t seen it, you can find it here). Check it out!

4. Counting Calories With a Ballerina

Here’s another clickbait video from this fascinating channel called Munchies that explores what different physically fit people eat. They spotlight MMA fighters, trail runners, and all kinds of people who keep different diets. Including ballerinas! It’s a super interesting look into how she loses or maintains her weight and her philosophy on weight loss. And I bet you wouldn’t think she eats a corndog for breakfast!

5. How to Create Jaw-Dropping Content

I recently came across Sorelle Amore’s channel, and I’m obsessed (she probably warrants her own post, actually). She is a photographer, traveler, and creative who takes self-portraits, shares her knowledge, and seems super friendly and approachable. After all the YouTube videos I’ve watched about photography and creation, it’s fun to finally watch a series made by an awesome and talented female. I will definitely be going back through many of her videos to learn more about her and how to improve my work here on She’s So Bright!

6. John Mayer’s Chanel Smokey Eye Tutorial

Just hilarious. It’s exactly what it says it is and needs no further introduction!

7. How to Do a Smokey Winged Eyeliner Look

And following up with a real beauty how-to, let me start by saying how much I love Ali Andreea’s tutorials. She’s precise and consistently good. Her looks are classic, tasteful and chic, but above all, they’re not hard to do. Sometimes when I watch YouTube beauty artists, I’m completely overwhelmed by the number of steps and skills it takes to complete a look. Ali breaks down the basics, shares shortcuts and better techniques, and has completely changed the way I do my own liquid liner cat eyes.

8. Moving Out With Lydia Elise Millen

I do not usually follow any vlogger for more than a second. Most of the time they’re kind of dull or vapid, which isn’t to say that Lydia isn’t either of those things, it’s just that I find listening to her talk about her look or outfits kind of calming. Sometimes I’ll listen to her talk about face creams while I do my post-yoga stretching. Other times I just need a mental break from my day. She’s a cute British gal with a very good looking husband, and while her vlogs are generally too long for me, I like to occasionally check in and see what she’s up to! Isn’t it amazing how much some people can talk about things on YouTube? It’s kind of fascinating!

9. Pasta Grannies make cappelletti with Velia & husband Venanzo

Quite possibly the greatest YouTube channel ever created, Pasta Grannies shares the experience of making pasta with little old Italian Grandmothers. Many of these women are octogenarians (or older!!!) and still make handmade pasta just like their grandmothers probably made! The channel shares regional specialties, which is all good and well, but there’s nothing quite like the experience of making pasta with a lovely, warm grannie. Also, this channel makes me want to move to Italy.

So there you have it, a fun list of quirky videos and channels that I’ve been watching as of late. With a mix of voyeuristic curiosity, self-improvement, and heartwarming fuzzies (#9 if you haven’t figured that out), I think there has to be one thing that you’ll like out of this whole selection. Happy viewing!
