Thoughts for the Weekend

She's So Bright - Ernie in the Snow
Ernie, my little, moody, tuxedo cat

It’s been cold and gloomy for a couple of weeks now and I’m starting to have serious cabin fever. Jon is out practicing his photography in the freezing weather, and all I want to do is snuggle inside under the covers and read my favorite old romance novels. It’s not exactly productive, but after a busy week back, I feel like it’s the best way to beat the winter blues. Or maybe I just need to turn the heat on high and buy a lot more plants so I can pretend I’m somewhere tropical. Reminder for next year: figure out how to spend Christmas Eve on a beach in Bali!

The temperature is supposed to drop significantly this weekend, so while I really want to be outside basking in the sun, I’ll just have to daydream about warm evenings and cool, salty waves. Valentine’s is almost a month away and I’m happy to have a little something to look forward to.

I could really use some tips to shake off the weather. Anyone out there have some advice, or maybe a sun lamp I can borrow?

However you’re planning to beat the cold-weather-blues, I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
